Stitches

Row 2 and foll rows: k the k sts and p the p sts as they face you
Stocking stitch (St st):
*knit 1 row, purl 1 row*

Gauge
8 sts and 12 rows to 10 cm in St st using size 6 mm needles.

Back
With size 6 mm needles cast on 36 sts. Work 2 rows in K1, p1 rib (=1 cm). Cont in St st. Work straight until piece measures 30 cm from rib (=36 r.). Shape armholes. Cast off 2 st at beg of every row twice, 1 st at beg of every row 4 times (=28 sts). Work straight until piece measures 48 cm from rib (=58 r.).Cast off rem. sts.

Front
With size 6 mm needles cast on 36 sts. Work 2 rows in K1, p1 rib (=1 cm). Cont in St st. Work straight until piece measures 30 cm from rib (=36 r.). Shape armholes. Cast off 2 st at beg of every row twice, 1 st at beg of every row 4 times (=28 sts). Work straight until piece measures 48 cm from rib (=58 r.).Cast off rem. sts.

Sleeves
With size 6 mm needles cast on 20 sts. Work 2 rows in K1, p1 rib (=1 cm). Cont in St st. Incr. 1 st at each end of every 10th row twice (=24 sts). Work straight until piece measures 45 cm from rib (=54 r.). Shape the top of the sleeve. Cast off 2 sts at beg of every row twice, 1 st at beg of every row 12 times (=8 sts). When work measures 56 cm from rib (=68 r.) cast off rem. sts.

To make up
With right side facing, using size 6 mm needles knit up 17 sts evenly along back neck edge and work 16 rows in St st. Incr. 1 st at each end of every 4th row twice (=21 sts). Cast off. Work in the same way along front neck edge. Join shoulders. Join sides. Sew in sleeves.
