Row 2 and foll rows: k the k sts and p the p sts as they face you
K3, p1 rib:
Row 1: *k3, p1*
Row 2 and foll rows: k the k sts and p the p sts as they face you

Gauge
18 sts and 23 rows to 10 cm in St st using size 4 mm needles.

Back
With size 4 mm needles cast on 73 sts. Work 16 rows in k3, p1 rib; 30 rows 9 sts in k3, p1 rib, 55 sts in St st, 9 sts in K3, p1 rib. Cont in k3, p1 rib. Work straight until piece measures 23 cm from beg (=52 r.). Cast off all sts.

Front
With size 4 mm needles cast on 73 sts. Work 16 rows in k3, p1 rib; 30 rows 9 sts in k3, p1 rib, 55 sts in St st, 9 sts in K3, p1 rib. Cont in k3, p1 rib. Work straight until piece measures 23 cm from beg (=52 r.). Shape armholes. Cast off 1 st at each end of next 35 rows. When piece measures 40 cm (=93 r.) cast off rem. 3 sts.

Collar
With size 4 mm needles cast on 89 sts. Work 18 rows in k1, p1 rib. Cast off.

To make up
Join sides. Sew collar to front neck-edge. Sew in button.
