2 x 50g balls of Ornaghi Filati Trilly Stampato; a 4 mm crochet hook; one button.

Single crochet (sc)
Crab stitch:
single crochet but knitted from left to right.

Back and front
With crochet hook ch 119. Row 1: sc; row 2: *1 sc, ch2, skip 2 ch, rep form *, end with sc; row 3: 1 sc, *2 sc in next ch-2 sp, 1 sc in next sc. Cont in sc. Work straight in sc until work measures 3 cm from beg (=5 r.). Work buttonhole. Next row: 1 sc, ch2, skip 2 ch, sc to end. Next row work 2 sc in ch-2 sp. Work straight in sc until piece measures 4 cm from beg (=7 r.). Shape back and armholes. Miss 11 sts at beg of next 2 rows, 4 sts at each end of next row, 3 sts at each end of next 2 rows, 2 sts at each end of next 6 rows, 1 st at each end of next 12 row. At the same time when piece measures 11 cm from beg (=19 r.) shape front neck. Miss centre 3 sts. Working with 2 balls of yarn, dec 1 st at each side of neck edge on every foll row 8 times. When piece measures 16 cm from beg (=29 r.) break off yarn and fasten off securely.

To make up
Work a row in crab st all around top. Beg from one side of neck-edge, ch 4 and work 46 cm in sc. Sew on other side of neck edge. Sew button on back.
