Materials
4 x 50g balls of Ornaghi Filati: 3 balls Dream Stampato, 1 ball Dream; one pair 4 1/2 mm needles; a 3 mm crochet hook.

Stitches
Stocking stitch (St st):
*knit 1 row, purl 1 row*
Single crochet (sc)
Crab stitch:
single crochet but knitted from left to right.

Gauge
14 sts and 21 rows to 10 cm in St st using size 4 1/2 mm needles.

Back
With size 4 1/2 mm needles and Dream Stampato cast on 49 sts. Work in St st. Incr. 1 st at each side of every 10th row twice (=53 sts). Work straight until piece measures 13 cm from beg (=28 r.). Shape armholes. Cast off at beg of every row 4 sts twice, 2 sts twice, 1 st twice (=39 sts). Work straight until piece measures 29 cm from beg (=60 r.). Shape neck. Work in St st to centre 19 sts and cast off, join a 2nd ball of yarn and work in St st to end. Working with 2 balls of yarn work even until piece measures 30 cm from beg (=62 r.). Cast off rem. 10 sts.

Right front
With size 4 1/2 mm needles and Dream Stampato cast on 39 sts. Work in St st. Incr. 1 st at end of every 10th row twice. At the same time when piece measures 7 cm (=14 r.) shape neck. Cast off 1 st at beg of next alt row 22 times, 1 st at beg of next 4th row twice. At the same time when piece measures 13 cm from beg (=28 r.) shape armhole. Cast off at beg of every alt row 4 sts once, 2 sts once, 1 st once. Work straight until piece measures 30 cm from beg (=62 r.). Cast off rem. 10 sts. Work left front reversing shapings.

Sleeves
With size 4 1/2 mm needles and Dream cast on 38 sts. Work in St st. Shape sides by increasing 1 st at each end of every following 4th row twice (=42 sts). Work straight until sleeve measures 5 cm from beg (=10 r.). Shape the top of the sleeve. Cast off at beg of foll rows 4 sts twice, 2 sts twice, 1 st 22 times, then at each end of every 4th row 1 st twice. Cast off rem. 4 sts.

To make up
Join shoulders seams. Join sides. Sew in sleeves. With crochet hook and Dream work 1 row in sc and 1 row in crab st around all edges. With crochet hook and Dream starting from front edges make a chain 70 cm long and a row in sc.
