Requirements:
300 grams in total of Ornaghi Filati yarn, 300 grams of Cometa quality, No. 4½ and 5 rows.

Required stitches:
Stitches 2/2:
First row: 2 plain stitches, 2 purl stitches*
Second and following rows: Knit the stitches as presented.

Stocking-stitch:
1 plain row, 1 purl row*.

Sample:
10x10 cm stocking-stitch with 5 rows = 10 stitches x 14 rows.


BACK: using No. 4½ rows start 46 stitches and knit them for the border, 2/2 stitches for 6 cm (= 10 rows). Continue with stocking-stitch with No. 5 rows. At 20 cm from the border (= 28 rows) for the arm-holes cast-off 1 stitch every 2 rows for a total of 5 times (= 36 stitches) inside the first and last stitch. At 38 cm from the border (= 54 rows) interlace the first and last 9 stitches for the shoulders. With No. 4½ rows proceed straight to 2/2 stitches on the 18 central stitches for a total of 10 rows for the neck. Interlace these stitches as well.

FRONT: using No. 4½ rows start 46 stitches and knit them for the border, 2/2 stitches for 6 cm (= 10 rows). Continue with stocking-stitch with No. 5 rows.
