Requirements:
10 x 50g balls of Ornaghi Filati Rugiada; one pair No. 7 and 8 needles; 2 buttons.

Stitches:
Stocking stitch (St st):
*knit 1 row, purl 1 row*
Garter stitch (Gr st)
Knit all rows.
Rib st:
*K2, p2, rep from * across.

Gauge:
12 sts and 17 rows to 10 cm in St st using size 7 needles.

Back:
With size 7 needles cast on 66 sts. Work 2 rows in Gr st. Cont in St st. Work straight in St st until work measures 40 cm from beg (=68 r.). Shape armholes. Cast off 3 sts at beg of next 2 rows, 1 sts at each end of next 2 alternate rows 3 times (=54 sts). Work even until piece measures 60 cm (=102 r.). Bind off all sts.

Right front:
With size 7 needles cast on 28 sts. Work 2 rows in Gr st. Cont in St st. Work straight in St st until work measures 35 cm from beg (=60 r.). Shape neck. Cast off 1 st at beg of next 2 alt rows 7 times. At same time when work measures 35 cm from beg (=52 r.) shape armhole. Cast off 3 sts at end of next row, 1 sts at end of next 2 alternate rows 3 times (=15 sts). Work even until piece measures 60 cm (=102 r.). Bind off all sts. Work left front reversing shapings.

Sleeves:
With size 7 needles cast on 24 sts. Work 6 rows in Gr st. Cont. in St st. Shape sides by increasing 1 st at each end of every following 12th row 8 times (=40 sts). Work straight untile sleeve measures 45 cm from beg (=76 r.). Shape the top of the sleeve. Cast off 3 sts at beg of next 2 rows, 2 sts at beg of next 2 rows, 1 st at each end of next 2 alternate rows 8 times (=14 sts). Work even until work measures 56 cm (=96 r.). Cast off.

Manufacturing:
Join shoulders seams. With size 8 needles pick up and knit 103 sts along right front, neck and left front. Work in rib st. When work measures 9 cm, cast off 28 sts at beg of next 2 rows, 1 st at each end of next 8 rows (=59 sts). When work measures 29 cm cast off. Join side seams. Join sleeves. Sew buttons on left front border
