Pattern:
10x10-cm-stocking stitch with needles n.9 =
9 sts. x 12 rows.
BACK : With needles n.9 cast on 38 sts. and knit, for the
edge, 2 raw garter stitch. At 2 cm. total height
go on knitting stocking stitch. Knit 7 rows, then
decrease at the sides 1 st. every 4 rows twice
(=34 sts.), continue knitting per 16 rows then
increase 1 st. every 4 rows twice (=38 r.).
34 cm. from the edge (=41 r.), for the sleeve holes,
weave at the sides 2 sts. at one time and go on knitting
(=34 sts.). 49 cm. from the edge (=59 r.), weave the
stitches at one time.
FRONT: With needles n. 9 cast on 38 sts. and knit, for the
edge, 2 rows garter stitch. At 2-cm-total height,
continue knitting stocking stitch. Knit for 7 rows,
then decrease at the sides 1 st. every 4 rows twice
(=34 sts.), continue knitting for 16 rows, then increase
at the sides 1 st. every 4 rows twice (=38 sts).
Cm. 30 away from the edge (=36 sts), for the opening,
divide your knitting in two parts. Carry out the two
parts separately knitting garter stitch the 2 sts. on the
sides of the opening. 34 cm from the edge (=41 r), for
the sleeve holes, weave at the sides 2 sts. at one time
and continue knitting (= 34 sts.). 44 cm from the edge
(=53 r.), for the neck-opening, weave on the sides of
the opening 4 sts., 2 sts. every 2 rows twice.
49 cm from the edge (=59 r.) weave the 9 remaining
stitches for each shoulder at one time.
SLEEVES: With needles n. 9 cast on 21 sts. and knit,
for the
edge, 2 rows garter stitch. At 2 cm total height
continue knitting stocking stitch. Increase at the
sides every 12 rows (=25 sts.) twice. 31 cm from the edge,
for the armhole, weave at the sides 2 sts. then, inside
the first and last 2 sts. decrease 1 st. every 2 rows for
7 times (=7 sts.). 45 cm from the edge (=54 r.) weave
the remaining stitches at one time.
MAKING UP: Sew up the sides and the shoulders.
Close and mount the sleeves.
Give the finishing touches to the neck-opening
carrying out a single crochet round.
