Stitches:
Pattern st:
*knit 1 through back of the loop (kb), purl 1, rep from * across.

Gauge:
13 sts and 17 rows to 10 cm in St st using size 5 needles.

Back :
Cast on 60 sts. Work in Patt st. At the same time decrease 1 sts at each end of every 4th row 3 times, 1 st at each end of every 6th row twice. Work even 6 rows then increase 1 st at each end of every 4th row 4 times. Work even until piece measures 31 cm, end with wrong side row. Shape neck. Kb to centre 2 sts and bind off, join a 2nd ball of yarn and kb to end. At the same time working with 2 balls of yarn, inside first and last 13 sts dec 3 sts every 4th row twice, every 6th row 3 times. At the same time when piece measures 32 cm shape armhole. Bind off 3 sts at beg of next two rows. Cont dec 1 st at each side of every other row 5 times. Work in pattern on remaining 5 sts at each side. Work even until piece measures 49 cm. Bind off all sts.

Front:
