Materials
2 x 50g balls of Ornaghi Filati Pisolo: 1 ball white, 1 ball blue; one pair 2 mm needles; a 1,5 mm crochet hook; 6 buttons.

Stitches
Stocking stitch (St st):
*knit 1 row, purl 1 row*
Striped St st:
*2 rows blue, 2 rows white*
Garter stitch (Gr st)
Knit all rows.
Single crochet.
Crab stitch: single crochet but knitted from left to right.

Gauge
34 sts and 46 rows to 10 cm in St st using size 2 mm needles.

Back
With size 2 mm needles and white cast on 93 sts. Work 4 rows in Garter st (=0,5 cm). Cont in striped St st. Work straight in pattern until work measures 9 cm from beg (=44 r.) Shape armholes. Cast off 2 sts at beg of next 2 rows, 1 st at each end of next 3 alternate rows (=83 sts). Work even until piece measures 20 cm from beg (=94 r.), end with wrong side row. Shape shoulders. Cast off 9 sts at beg of next 2 rows 3 times (=29 sts). When piece measures 21,5 cm (=100 r.) cast off all sts.

Right front
With size 2 mm needles and white cast on 73 sts. Work 4 rows in Garter st (=0,5 cm). Cont in striped St st. On rows 3 and 17 make 2 buttonholes: work 2 sts in striped St st, k2tog, yo, work 13 sts in striped St st, k2tog, yo, work in striped St st to end. Work straight in striped St st until work measures 6 cm from beg (=29 r.). Shape neck. Cast off 4 st at beg of next row, 3 sts at beg of next 2 alt rows 2 times, 2 sts at beg of next 2 alt rows 3 times, 1 st at beg of next 2 alt rows 28 times. At same time when work measures 9 cm from beg (=44 r.) shape armhole. Cast off 2 sts at end of next row, 1 st at end of next 2 alternate rows 3 times. Work even until piece measures 20 cm from beg (=94 r.), end with wrong side row. Shape shoulder. Cast off 8 sts at beg of next 2 rows 3 times. Work left front reversing shapings, without buttonholes.

Sleeves
With size 2 mm needles and white cast on 55 sts. Work 4 rows in Gr st (=0,5 cm). Cont. in striped St st. Shape sides by increasing 1 st at each end of every following 6th row 9 times (=73 sts). Work straight until sleeve measures 15,5 cm from beg (=74 r.). Shape the top of the sleeve. Cast off 4 sts at beg of next 2 rows 7 times (=17 sts). Work even until work measures 18,5 cm (=88 r.). Cast off.

To make up
Join shoulders seams. With crochet hook and white work one row in single crochet and one row in crab st along fronts and back neck edges. Join sides. Sew in sleeves. Sew 2 buttons on left front border and 4 buttons on left front.
