Materials
1 x 50g balls of Ornaghi Filati Pisolo blue; one pair 2 mm needles.

Stitches
Stocking stitch (St st):
*knit 1 row, purl 1 row*
Open-work stitch:
Row 1, 3: knit
Row 2 and foll even rows: purl
Row 5: K1, *K2tog, yo*, k1
Row 7, 9: Knit.
Pattern stitch:
Row 1: *k2, yo, k2 tog, k2*
Row 2: purl
Row 3: rows 1-2 form pattern.

Instructions
With size 2 mm needles cast on 90 sts. Work 10 rows in open-work st. Work 40 rows in patt st. Shape crown. Next row: *k8, k2 tog, k2*. Cont. dec in this manner in alt rows 9 more times, until 20 sts rem. Break off yarn, run end through rem. sts, draw up and fasten off securely.

To make up
Join crown and back seams. Fold border onto reverse side and sew.
