Materials
2 x 50g balls of Ornaghi Filati Pisolo white; one pair 3 1/2 mm needles. Work with 2 strands of yarn.

Stitches
Stocking stitch (St st):
*knit 1 row, purl 1 row*
Garter stitch (Gr st)
Knit all rows.
Seed stitch:
Row 1: *k1, p 1*, k1
Row 2 and foll rows: k the p sts and p the k sts as they face you.

Instructions
With size 3 1/2 mm needles cast on 93 sts. Work 30 rows in Garter st. Work 28 rows as foll: 6 sts in St st, *4 sts in seed st, 9 sts in St st.*, rep from * to * 5 more times, 4 sts in seed st, 5 sts in St st. Work 4 rows in St st, decr. 1 st every 4 sts in seed st across 1st row (=86 sts). Shape crown. Next row: *k6, k2 tog, k6*. Cont. dec in this manner in alt rows 10 more times. Break off yarn, run end through 20 rem. sts, draw up and fasten off securely.

To make up
Join crown and back seams. Fold border onto right side. Sew a pom-pom 10 cm wide.
