Materials
5 x 50g balls of Ornaghi Filati Peluche: 4 balls white, 1 ball blue; one pair 5 mm needles; cable needle; a 4 mm crochet hook; one piece white fabric 35x60 cm.

Stitches
Garter stitch (Gr st):
Knit all rows.
K1, p1 rib:
Row 1: *k1, p1*
Row 2 and foll rows: k the k sts and p the p sts as they face you
Stocking stitch (St st):
*knit 1 row, purl 1 row*
Rev. Stocking stitch (Rev St st):
*purl 1 row, knit 1 row*
Pattern stitch:
Row 1: C8F (sl 4 sts onto cable needle and hold at front of work, k4, k sts form cable needle)
Row 2 and all even rows: purl
Row 3, 5, 7, 9, 11: k8
These 12 rows form pattern.

Gauge
14 sts and 21 rows to 10 cm in rev St st using size 5 mm needles.

Instructions
With size 5 mm needles and white cast on 64 sts. Work 4 rows in k1, p1 rib (=0,5 cm). Proceed as foll: 1 st in Gr st, 4 sts in St st, *6 sts in rev St st, 2 sts in St st*, rep. from * to * 5 more times, 6 sts in rev St st, 4 sts in St st, 1 st in Gr st. Work straight in pattern until piece measures 10 cm from beg (=24 r.). Work back, proceeding as follows: 9 sts in rev St st white, 8 sts in patt st blue, 30 sts rev St st white, 8 sts in patt st blue, 9 sts in rev St st white. Work straight in pattern until work measures 24,5 cm from beg (=54 r.). Work front in rev St st and white, incr. 10 sts evenly across 1st row (=74 sts). Work straight in pattern until piece measures 46,5 cm from beg (=100 r.). Work 4 rows in k1, p1 rib. Cast off all sts.

Handle
With size 5 mm needles and white cast on 8 sts. Proceed as foll: 1 st in Gr st, 2 sts in St st, 1 st in rev St st, 3 sts in St st, 1 st in Gr st. Work straight in pattern until piece measures 87 cm from beg. Cast off.

Flower
With size 4 mm crochet hook and blue ch 9 and work: 1 sc, 4 tr, 3 sc, 1 sl st. Break off yarn and fasten off securely. Work 5 petals. With size 4 mm crochet hook and white ch 3 and work: 2 sc in each of 3 ch. Break off yarn and fasten off securely.

To make up
Fold white fabric over 24 cm with right sides together. Stitch along two sides. Turn. Sew petals to front bag. Sew centre flower onto petals. Fold outer bag over with right sides together. Stitch along two sides. Fold a border along sides of fabric bag and sew inside outer bag. Stitch handle to bag.
