5 x 50g balls of Ornaghi Filati Oslo; one pair 5 mm needles.

Stitches
K2, p2 rib:
Row 1: *k2, p2*
Row 2 and foll rows: k the k sts and p the p sts as they face you
Pattern stitch (Patt st):
Row 1, 3: Knit
Row 2: K1, *(K1, p1, K1, p1, K1) all into next st, p5 tog*, K1
Row 4: K1, *p5 tog, (K1, p1, K1, p1, K1) all into next st *, K1
These 4 rows form pattern.

Instructions
With size 5 mm needles cast on 229 sts. Work 44 rows in Patt st. Cast off.

To make up
Using 5 mm needles, with RS facing, K up 146 sts along bottom edge and work 6 rows in k2, p2 rib. Cast off. Using 5 mm needles, with RS facing, K up 50 sts along front edge and work 6 rows in k2, p2 rib. Cast off. Using 5 mm needles, with RS facing, K up 74 sts around neck edge and work 16 rows in k2, p2 rib. Cast off. Using 12 strands of yarn work 2 strips 34 cm long and sew at neck edge. Sew 2 ponpon 5 cm wide at the end of the strips.
