Stitches:
Rib st:
*K1, p1, rep from * across.
Reverse stocking stitch (Rev st st):
*purl 1 row, knit 1 row*
Fisherman’s rib:
Row 1: Knit.
Row 2: *K1, 1 double (K into center of st below next st, drop st above off left needle), rip from * across.
Row 3: *K the double st, 1 double into next K st, rep from * across.
Rows 2-3 form pattern.



Gauge:
19 sts and 40 rows to 10 cm in Fisherman’s rib using size 4 1/2 needles.

Back:
With size 4 1/2 needles cast on 91 sts. Work 4 rows in Rib st. Cont in Fisherman’s rib. When work measures 9 cm (=38 f.) from beg decr 1 st at each end of next 8th row 3 times (=85 sts). Work straight until work measures 30 cm from beg (=120 r.). Incr 1 st at each end of next 10th row 3 times, 1 st at each end of next 4th row once (=91 sts). Work straight until work measures 38 cm from beg (=151 r.). Shape armholes. Next row: cast off 3 sts, p3, sl1, K1, psso, work across until last 8 sts, K2tog, p6. Next row: cast off 3 sts, K3, work across until last 3 sts, K3. * Next row: p3, sl1, K1, psso, work across until last 5 sts, K2tog, p3. Next row: K3, work across until last 3 sts, K3. Work straight until work measures 25 cm from beg (=101 r.). Shape nsides by incr 1 st at each end of next 6th row 6 times, 1 st at each end of next 8th row once (=69 sts). Work straight until work measures 45 cm from beg (=181 r.). Shape the top of the sleeve. Next row: cast off 5 sts, p3, sl1, K1, psso, work across until last 10 sts, K2tog, p8. Next row: cast off 5 sts, K3, work across until last 3 sts, K3. * Next row: p3, sl1, K1, psso, work across until last 5 sts, K2tog, p3. Next row: K3, work across until last 3 sts, K3. Manufacturing:
Join sleeve seams, leaving open left back seam. With size 4 1/2 needles pick upo and K 96 sts across neck edge. K 10 cm in Rib st. Cast off. Join left back sleeve seam. Join side seams.
