Size Directions are for small size

Requirements:
8 x 50g balls of Ornaghi Filati Liolà; one pair No. 8 needles.

Stitches:
Stocking stitch (St st):
*knit 1 row, purl 1 row*

Gauge:
11 sts and 14 rows to 10 cm in St st using size 8 needles.

Back:
With size 8 needles cast on 57 sts. Row 1: K25, sl1, K1, psso, k3, K2tog, K25. Row 2 and all even rows: purl. Row 3: K. Row 5: K2, inc. 1, k22, sl1, K1, psso, k3, K2tog, K22, incr. 1, K2. Row 7: K. These 8 rows form pattern. Work in pattern until work measures 58 cm from beg (=80 r.). Shape neck. K to centre 19 sts and bind off, join a 2nd ball of yarn and k to end. Working with 2 balls of yarn, dec 3 st at each side of neck edge on foll alternate row. When work measures 60 cm (=84 r.) bind off rem 7 sts for each shoulder.

Front:
Work as for back until work measures 55 cm from beg (=77 r.). Shape neck. K to centre 19 sts and bind off, join a 2nd ball of yarn and k to end. Working with 2 balls of yarn, dec 3 st at each side of neck edge on foll alternate row. When work measures 60 cm (=84 r.) bind off rem 7 sts for each shoulder.

Sleeves:
With size 8 needles cast on 24 sts. Work in St st. Shape sides by increasing 1 st at each end of every following 6th row 8 times (=40 sts). Work straight untile sleeve measures 45 cm from beg (=63 r.). Shape the top of the sleeve. Cast off 4 st at beg of next 2 rows, 2 sts at beg of next 2 rows, 1 st at beg of next 12 rows, 2 sts at beg of next 4 rows (=8 sts). When work measures 59 cm (=83 r.) bind off all sts.

Manufacturing:
Join shoulder seams. Join sleeve seams. Join side seams.
