Requirements:
6 x 50g balls of Ornaghi Filati Lapponia; one pair No. 8 needles.

Stitches:
Stocking stitch (St st):
*knit 1 row, purl 1 row*
Garter stitch (Gr st)
Knit all rows.
Open-work stitch:
Row 1: purl
Row 2: K2tog, 2yo, k2tog.
Row 3: P1, work twice the overs (=k1, p1), p1.
Rows 2 and 3 form pattern.

Gauge:
9 sts and 18 rows to 10 cm in St st using size 8 needles.

Back:
With size 8 needles cast on 39 sts. Work in St st. Decr 1 st at each end of next 8th row 3 times (=33 sts). Work straight until work measures 20 cm from beg (=36 r.). Incr 1 st at each end of next 8th row 3 times (=39 sts). Work straight until work measures 31 cm from beg (=56 r.). Shape armholes. *Next row: K2, sl1, K1, psso, work across until last 4 sts, K2tog, K2. Next row: purl. Rep from * 12 more times (=13 sts). When work measures 49 cm (=88 r.) bind off all sts.

Front:
With size 8 needles cast on 39 sts. Work in St st. Decr 1 st at each end of next 8th row 3 times (=33 sts). Work straight until work measures 20 cm from beg (=36 r.). Incr 1 st at each end of next 8th row 3 times (=39 sts). Work straight until work measures 31 cm from beg (=56 r.). Shape armholes. *Next row: K2, sl1, K1, psso, work across until last 4 sts, K2tog, K2. Next row: purl. Rep from * 12 more times (=13 sts). At the same time when work measures 47 cm from beg (=84 r.) shape neck. K to centre 9 sts and bind off, join a 2nd ball of yarn and k to end. Working with 2 balls of yarn, dec 1 st at each side of neck edge on every foll alternate row 2 times.

Sleeves:
With size 8 needles cast on 19 sts. Work 4 sts in St st, 4 sts in open-work stitch, 3 sts in St st, 4 sts in open-work stitch, 4 sts in St st. Shape sides by increasing 1 st at each end of every following 8th row 6 times (=31 sts). Work straight untile sleeve measures 40 cm from beg (=72 r.). Shape the top of the sleeve. *Next row: K2, sl1, K1, psso, work across until last 4 sts, K2tog, K2. Next row: purl. Rep from * 10 more times (=9 sts). When work measures 58 cm (=104 r.) bind off all sts.

Manufacturing:
Join sleeve seams. Join side seams.
