Requirements:
2 x 50g balls of Ornaghi Filati Kristal; one pair No. 6 needles; cable needle. Knit using 2 strands of yarn.

Stitches:
Rib st:
*K1, p1, rep from * across.
Stocking stitch (St st):
*knit 1 row, purl 1 row*
Pattern stitch:
Row 1: sl 2 sts onto cabble needle and hold at front of work, k2, k sts form cable needle.
Row 2 and all even rows: Purl.
Row 3, 5, 7, 9: Knit
These 10 rows form pattern.


Gauge:
15 sts and 18 rows to 10 cm in St st using size 6 needles and 2 strands of yarn.

Back:
With size 6 needles cast on 57 sts. Work 2 cm in Rib st, incr. 5 sts across last row (=62 sts). Work: 5 sts in St st, *4 sts in Patt st, 8 sts in St st, rep from * 3 more times, 4 sts in Patt st, 5 sts in St st. Inc 1 st at each side of cable sts every alt row 5 times (=112 sts). When work measures 8 cm (=14 f.) decr. 1 st at each side of cable sts every 4th row 5 times, qevery other row once, knitting together the 1st st of cable st end the preceding st and knitting together the last of cable sts and the following st (=52 sts). Work straight 4 rows. Next row: K2 tog twice for every cable (=42 sts). Next row: purl. Next row: k2 tog across (=21 sts). Next row: purl. Next row: K1, k2 tog across (=11 sts). Next row: purl. Next row: K1, k2 tog across (=6 sts). Leave sts on holder. Work front in the same way.

Manufacturing:
Join sides. Pass a stran of yarn throught the sts on holder and pull.
