Requirements:
2 x 50g balls of Ornaghi Filati Ibiza; one pair No. 5½ needles; size 5 crochet hook.

Stitches:
With needles
Stocking stitch (St st):
*knit 1 row, purl 1 row*
Pattern st:
Row 1: *K6, yo, sl 1, k1, psso, k7, rep from * across.
Row 2 and all even rows: Purl.
Row 3: *K7, yo, sl 1, k1, psso, k6, rep from * across.
Row 5: *K8, yo, sl 1, k1, psso, k5, rep from * across.
Row 7: *K9, yo, sl 1, k1, psso, k4, rep from * across.
Row 9: continue in pattern as set.
Open-work stitch:
Row 1: *K1, sl 1, K2tog, psso, 2yo*
Row 2: Purl. Work p1 and pb1 in 2yo.
With crochet hook

Single crochet


Gauge:
20 sts and 25 rows to 10 cm in St st using size 5½ needles.

Back and front:
To be knitted in one piece. With needles cast on 135 sts. Work in pattern stitch until piece measures 14 cm from beg, with RS facing for next row. Work 2 rows in open-work stitch. Continue in pattern st until piece measures 15 cm from beg. Bind off, for back, 7 sts at beginning of next two rows, 5 sts at beginning of next two rows, 6 sts at beginning of next two rows, 3 sts at beginning of next two rows, then decrease 1 st at each end of every other row 9 times. Work even until piece measures 26 cm from beg, end with wrong side row. K to centre 53 sts and bind off, join a 2nd ball of yarn and k to end. Working with 2 balls of yarn, work in pattern. Dec one sts at neck edge of every other row 8 times. Cont on remaining 3 sts each side. Work even until piece measures 53 cm. Bind off all sts.

Manufacturing:
Join shoulder straps. With crochet hook work a 300 cm long chain and pass it through the holes of the open-work stitch.
