Brown jumper

Requirements:
200 grams of Ornaghi Filati Romantico yarn; No. 4½ and 5 rows No. 3.5 crochet hook

Stitches used with the rows:
Stitches 2/2:
First row: *2 plain stitches, 2 purl stitches *
Second and following rows: Knit the stitches as presented.
Stocking-stitch:
*1 plain row, 1 purl row *
Stitches used with the crochet hook:
Lower stitch.
Shrimp stitch:
Lower stitch but knitted from left to right.

Sample:
10x10 cm. to stocking-stitch with No. 5 rows = 12 stitches x 18 rows.


BACK: With No. 4½ rows start 46 stitches and knit them, for the border, to stitches 2/2 for 5 cm. (= 10 rows). Proceed to stocking-stitch with No. 5 rows. At 19 cm from the border (= 34 rows) for the arm-holes interlace to the sides, every 2 rows, 2 stitches for one time, 1 stitches for one time (= 40 stitches) at 31 cm from the border (= 56 rows) for the neckline, interlace the 12 central stitches in a single way. Finish the two parts separately, interlacing again to the sides of the neckline, every 2 rows, 2 stitches two times, 1 stitch two times. At 37 cm from the border (= 66 rows) interlace the 8 remaining stitches for every shoulder in a single way.

SLEEVES: With the No. 4½ rows start 28 stitches and knit them, for the border, 2/2 stitches for 2 cm (= 4 rows). Proceed to stocking-stitch with No. 5 rows. Cast on to the sides 1 stitch every two rows five times (= 38 stitches). At 7 cm from the border (= 12 rows) for the armhole interlace the sides, every 2 rows, 2 stitches three times, 1 stitch five times. At 16 cm from the border (= 28 rows) interlace the 16 remaining stitches in a single way.

MANUFACTURING:
Sew the shoulders. Using the crochet hook knit around the neckline one row at lower stitch and one row at shrimp stitch. Sew the sides. Close and assemble the sleeves.
