Gauge
15 sts and 19 rows to 10 cm in St st using size 4 1/2 mm needles.

Back
With size 4 1/2 mm needles cast on 84 sts. Work 24 rows in K3, p2 rib (=12 cm). Cont in St st, decr. 14 sts evenly spaced across 1st row (=70 sts). Work straight until piece measures 23 cm from rib (=44 r.). Shape armholes. Cast off at beg of every row 3 sts twice, 2 sts twice, 1 st 8 times (=52 sts). Work straight until piece measures 41 cm from rib (=78 r.). Cast off rem. sts.

Front
With size 4 1/2 mm needles cast on 84 sts. Work 24 rows in K3, p2 rib (=12 cm). Cont in St st, decr. 14 sts evenly spaced across 1st row (=70 sts). Work straight until piece measures 23 cm from rib (=44 r.). Shape armholes. Cast off at beg of every row 3 sts twice, 2 sts twice, 1 st 8 times (=52 sts). Work straight until piece measures 26 cm from rib (=50 r.). Shape neck. K to centre 2 sts and bind off, join a 2nd ball of yarn and k to end. Working with 2 balls of yarn, dec 1 st at each side of neck edge on every foll alternate row 13 times. Work straight until piece measures 42 cm from rib (=80 r.). Cast off rem. 16 sts.

Sleeves
With size 4 1/2 mm needles cast on 35 sts. Work 22 rows in K3, p2 rib (=11 cm). Cont in St st, decr. 3 sts evenly spaced across 1st row (=32 sts). Shape sides by increasing 1 st at each end of every following 8th row 6 times (=44 sts). Work straight until sleeve measures 30 cm from rib (=58 r.). Shape the top of the sleeve. Cast off at beg of foll rows 2 sts twice, 1 st 22 times. When sleeve measures 43 cm from rib (=82 r.) cast off rem. 18 sts.

To make up
Join shoulders seams. Join sides. Sew in sleeves.
