Pattern:
10x10 cm stocking stitch with needles n.7=
12 sts. x 18 rows.
BACK : With needles n.7 cast on 55 sts. and knit stocking
stitch. At 8-cm-total height (=16 r.) decrease at
the sides 1 st. every 2 rows for 5 times (=45 sts.).
Continue knitting for 6 rows then increase at the
sides 1 st. every 2 rows for 5 times (=55 sts.).
At 28-cm-total height (=50 r.), for the sleeve holes inside the first and last 2 sts. decrease 1 st.
every 2 rows for 5 times (=45 sts.).
At 45-cm-total height (=81 r.) weave the stitches
at one time.
FRONT: For the right front with needles n.7 cast on 27 sts.
and knit stocking stitch.
At 8-cm-total height (=16 r) decrease on the left 1 st.
every 2 rows for 5 times (=22 sts.), continue knitting
for 6 rows then increase on the left 1 st. every 2 rows
for 5 times (=27 sts.). At-28-cm total height (=50 r.),
for the sleeve hole inside the last 2 sts. decrease 1 st.
every 2 rows for 10 times. At the same time, for the
neck-opening inside the first 3 sts., decrease 1 st. every
4 rows for 5 times.
At 45-cm-total height (=81 r.) weave the 12 remaining
stitches for the shoulder at one time.
Knit the left front contrarywise.
SLEEVES: With needles n.7 cast on 28 sts. and knit stocking
stitch. Increase at the sides 1 stitch every 16 rows for
3 times (=34 sts.). 36 cm from the edge (=65 r.), for
the armhole inside the first and last 2 sts. decrease
1 stitch every 2 rows for 13 times (=8 sts.).
51 cm from the edge (=91 r.) weave the remaining
stitches at one time.
MAKING UP: Sew up the sides and the shoulders. Close and mount
the sleeves.
Along the front and back bottom and the sleeves, just
after the beginning row, knit a row chain-stitch.
Pass a yarn between the stitches of the front sides, just
inside the two stitches at the sides of the opening and
and cross it passing it through the stitches, as to lace
a shoe.
