Materials
2 x 50g balls of Ornaghi Filati Carnival; one pair 5 mm needles.

Stitches
Stocking stitch (St st):
*knit 1 row, purl 1 row*
Pattern stitch:
Row 1, 3, 5, 7: knit
Row 2 and foll even rows: purl
Row 9: knit, but wrap yarn two times around needle
Row 10: purl, but work only the first wrap and drop the other
These 10 rows form pattern.

Gauge
15 sts and 20 rows to 10 cm in St st using size 5 mm needles.

Back
With size 5 mm needles cast on 50 sts. Work 40 rows in patt st. Cont in St st. Work straight until piece measures 7 cm from beg (=55 r.). Shape armholes. Cast off 1 st at each end of next 5 rows, 1 st at each end of next alternate row 6 times. At the same time when piece measures 28 cm from beg (=57 r.) shape neck. Work in patt to cen tre, join a 2nd ball of yarn and work in St st to end. Working with 2 balls of yarn, dec. at each side of neck edge on every foll row 1 st 4 times, on every foll alternate row 1 st 6 times. Work even until piece measures 36 cm from beg (=72 r.). Work straight for shoulder-straps 10 cm. Cast off rem. 4 sts.

Front
With size 5 mm needles cast on 50 sts. Work 40 rows in patt st. Cont in St st. Work straight until piece measures 7 cm from beg (=55 r.). Shape armholes.
