Stitches
K1, p1 rib:

K2, p2 rib:
Row 1: *k2, p2*
Row 2 and foll rows: k the k sts and p the p sts as they face you
Stocking stitch (St st):
*knit 1 row, purl 1 row*
Pattern stitch (Patt st):
Row 1: *k2tog, yo*
Row 2: purl

Gauge
9 sts and 13 rows to 10 cm in St st using size 6 mm needles.

Back
With size 6 mm needles cast on 44 sts. Work 10 rows in K2, p2 rib, 2 rows in Patt st (=9 cm). Cont in St st. Work straight until piece measures 26 cm from Patt st (=34 r.). Shape armholes. Cast off at beg of every row 2 sts twice, 1 st 28 times (=12 sts). Work straight until piece measures 49 cm from Patt st (=64 r.). Cast off rem. sts.

Right front
With size 6 mm needles cast on 23 sts. Work 10 rows in K2, p2 rib, 2 rows in Patt st (=9 cm). Work: 6 sts in K1, p1 rib (=front border), 17 sts in St st. Work straight until piece measures 26 cm from Patt st (=34 r.). Shape armhole. Cast off at beg of next alt. row 2 sts once, 1 st 9 times. At the same time when piece measures 46 cm from Patt st (=60 r.) shape neck. Cast off 6 sts at beg of next alt row once, 2 sts 3 times. Work left front reversing shapings.

Sleeves
With size 6 mm needles cast on 24 sts. Work 10 rows in K2, p2 rib, 2 rows in Patt st (=9 cm). Cont in St st. Work straight until sleeve measures 38 cm from Patt st (=50 r.). Shape the top of the sleeve. Cast off at beg of every 4th row 1 st 8 times and at end of every 8th row 1 st 4 times, at end of every alt row 4 sts 3 times.
Work right sleeve reversing shapings.

To make up
Join shoulders seams. With right side facing, using size 6 mm needles knit up 69 sts evenly around neck edge and work 6 rows in k1, p1 rib. Cast off. Join sides. Sew in sleeves.
