Back
With size 4 mm needles cast on 76 sts. Work in St st. Work straight until piece measures 20 cm from beg (=34 r.). Shape sides. Cast off 1 st at each end of every 4th row 10 times. At the same time when piece measures 40 cm from beg (=69 r.) work: K7, SKP (slip 1, k1, pass slipped st over knit st), K to last 9 sts., K2 tog, K7. Cont. decr. 1 st every alt. row 5 more times. Work straight until piece measures 46 cm from beg (=79 r.). Next row: work 2 sts in Gr st, SKP (slip 1, k1, pass slipped st over knit st), work in St st to next 4 sts, K2tog, work 2 in Gr st. Cont decr. 1 st every alt row 5 more times (=26 sts). Work straight until piece measures 64 cm from beg (=108 r.). Leave sts on holder.

Right front
With size 4 mm needles cast on 43 sts. Work: 5 sts in Gr st (=front border), 38 sts in St st. Work straight until piece measures 20 cm from beg (=34 r.). Shape opening. Next row work 26 sts in Patt, 6 sts in Gr st, work in St st to end. Work this way 3 more rows. Next row: work 26 sts in Patt, 3 sts in Gr st, join a 2nd ball of yarn, work 3 sts in Gr st, k to end. Working with 2 balls of yarn, work straight 20 more rows. Cont. in St st until piece measures 20 cm from beg (=34 r.). Shape side. Cast off at end of every 4th row 1 st 10 times. At the same time when piece measures 40 cm from beg (=69 r.) K to last 9 sts., K2 tog, K7. Cont. decr. 1 st every alt. row 5 more times. Work straight until piece measures 46 cm from beg (=79 r.). Next row: work in St st to last 4 sts, K2tog, work 2 in Gr st. Cont decr. 1 st every alt row 5 more times (=18 sts). Work straight until piece measures 64 cm from beg (=108 r.). Leave sts on holder. Work left front reversing shapings.

To make up
Join sides. With right side facing, using size 4 mm needles knit up 61 sts evenly around neck edge and work 82 rows in Gr st. Cast off. Fold in half and join.
